A report near the end of August showed that new home sales were up 3.6% in July. According to the Census Bureau that is a 26% increase from the same month last year. These numbers are even better than they may seem. The numbers have been moving upwards consistently for the past 8 months and will continue to do so. This means the housing market is getting back on track. The numbers were even better than industry experts expected, and surveys show builder confidence is at the highest it's been in 10 years.
