History
Founded in 1893, Choctaw holds the distinction of being Oklahoma’s oldest chartered town. Its roots trace back to the Land Run and its agricultural settlers. It grew again in the 1940s when nearby Tinker Air Force Base brought new jobs to the area. Today, Choctaw blends historic charm with modern living, offering residents a peaceful lifestyle just minutes from downtown OKC.
