Building Your New Home


Select Your Homesite

The first step in your custom home is to work with one of our New Home Consultants to select your homesite and floorplan.

If you haven’t already been pre-approved for a home loan, your New Home Consultant will also connect you with a preferred lender to begin the loan process.


Personalization and Construction

Once you have written a contract for your new custom home you will meet with your Ideal Homes & Neighborhoods designer through a series of three meetings to select options and approve the budget before construction begins.

Before construction begins you will meet with your builder at a pre-construction meeting. Throughout the building process you’ll receive updates from your new home consultant and they’ll be available for any questions you may have  



As your home is completed, the Customer Care team will walk you through your new home prior to the scheduled closing date. This orientation meeting will also be important to learn maintenance tips for your new home. 

The final step to owning your new home is closing! This will take place at the title company and you will walk away with the keys to your brand new home. Congratulations!


    The Ideal Warranty

    The Customer Care team will schedule a 60-day walkthrough and 11-month walkthrough of your home with you to help identify any needs you may have, answer any questions, and point out additional maintenance tips along the way. Customers can submit a warranty request form at any time.
