However, every option must pass the quality test first. Take faucets, for example. Sometimes customers come to their design appointment with a picture of a faucet they spotted online or at a retail store, only to find it’s not offered here. That’s because we only carry a high-end line known to perform for many years. This ensures our homes perform to the highest standard.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

That commitment to quality doesn’t end once a product is chosen. It continues behind the scenes through a unique feedback loop that links the Ideal Design Studio, our building team, and Customer Care. 

The Ideal Design Studio curates a selection of high-quality options. If a product issue arises, our Customer Care or building team addressses it. If the Customer Care or building teams find recurring issues, they communicate to the Ideal Design Studio team. The Ideal Design Studio team finds alternative higher-quality options.

“If we start getting customer complaints or warranty issues on a certain product, we discontinue it,” explained Melody Richardson, manager of the Ideal Design Studio. “We’re constantly refining our selections so customers only get the best and most reliable options.”

This feedback loop is the reason that all quartz countertops are now standard in all Ideal Homes kitchens and bathrooms. 

The case for quartz

Here’s what happened: Marble and granite countertops – beautiful but notoriously high maintenance and prone to staining – were generating recurring Customer Care concerns. 

Usually considered an upgrade, quartz became the included countertop for Ideal homes because it’s a more durable and reliable choice.

“Putting in something that’s the top quality is just the right thing to do,” Melody said. This is how our internal processes are shaped by providing top-quality homes for our customers.
