Moore Public Schools Serves Three Ideal Homes Neighborhoods

From its earliest days, Ideal Homes had a passion to build great homes in great school districts . . .  Moore Public Schools continues that tradition. MPS is the third largest school system in the state, with a student population of more than 24,516. The district encompasses 159 square miles in Moore and south Oklahoma City, south of 82nd Street, offers Pre-K through 12th grade, serves a student population of over 24,500 and encompasses 34 schools. Through the years, the district has maintained a tradition of high student achievement, outstanding instruction, and strong community support. The district includes:

  • 3 High Schools (grades 9-12)
  • 6 Junior High Schools (grades 7-8)
  • 25 Elementary Schools (grades pre-K-6)
  • Five Vista Alternative Academies – serving students in grades 6-12 who are at risk of dropping out or have already dropped out as well as those students who have a difficult time in a traditional school environment.

Southmoore places a strong emphasis on Academics.  College-bound students may take advantage of several Pre-AP/AP (Advanced Placement) classes to earn college credit while still in high school, while others may participate in vocational classes through a partnership with Moore-Norman Technology Center.  Accredited classes are also provided for students with mild/moderate or severe/profound exceptional needs.
