A Modern Farmhouse Model Home to Tour in Stillwater, OK

We take pride in designing beautiful model homes in our communities. We recently added a modern farmhouse model home in Stillwater, OK, to our line-up of homes to tour.
We chose our Mayfield floor plan with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a study. This plan has four front elevation styles to choose from including traditional, mountain cottage, modern, and craftsman. Each provides unique options to create a one-of-a-kind look to maximize curb appeal. For our model home, we chose the contemporary option. We played up the farmhouse look on the exterior using black and white selections with stained accents.
When you enter the home, you will see that the same black and white farmhouse theme has been continued on the interior. In the kitchen, we selected white-painted cabinets. We extended the custom cabinets to the ceiling to emphasize the height of the 10-foot ceilings. We added touches of black accents throughout the kitchen including the island paint color and matte black cabinet hardware and plumbing fixtures. The Cambria countertop pulls everything together—it's white with subtle black and gold veining.
The focal point of the living room is the black horizontal shiplap fireplace with a stained mantle. The easy-start fireplace has a modern look to complete the urban farmhouse aesthetic. We selected light, simple wood-look laminate flooring throughout the main living space.
In the bathrooms, we continued our black-and-white theme with tile selections. The floors are large 12- by 24-inch slate black ceramic tile and the wall tile is an oversized subway tile in white. We also added black plumbing and lighting fixtures, white cabinets, and black mirror frames.
We warmed up the whole home using warm stained wood accents and natural materials. The doors and trim, including the mud bench, have been painted black.
