Ideal Homes Toy Drive

November 22, 2017

We’re officially in the season of giving. You probably have made your gift list and possibly already crossed off some items after navigating Black Friday bargains and Cyber Monday deals. Maybe you couldn’t resist an unbeatable price on a new toy and bought it without knowing who might be the lucky recipient. Here’s an idea. Give it to a child who might get nothing but that one present this Christmas. Ideal Homes has partnered with Feed the Children to bring joy to under-privileged children in the Oklahoma City metro region this holiday season. We’re sponsoring a toy drive to collect new, unwrapped toys that we will distribute to these children in time for Christmas. “As a homebuilder, we see the joy of families moving in and enjoying the holidays in a new home,” explains Vernon McKown, Ideal Homes’ co-owner and president of sales. “But we know that there are too many children who don’t know what it’s like to experience the joy of receiving a gift on Christmas morning. We want to extend that surprise to as many kids as we can with this toy drive.” Donations will be accepted through Wednesday, December 20, which allows the Ideal Homes’ elves time to wrap and deliver the holiday gifts. The toys can be dropped off at Ideal Homes’ main office at 1320 North Porter Avenue in Norman, or at the model home in any of our new home communities: Edmond/Deer Creek * Valencia – on NW 192nd St between N May Ave and N Pennsylvania Ave * Northbrooke – on N Rockwell, north of Kilpatrick Turnpike Piedmont * Buffalo Grove at Village Verde -- off Mustang Road, just north of Northwest Expressway Choctaw * Sundance -- on SE 15th between S Anderson Rd and S Hiwassee Rd Moore * Featherstone -- off SW 164th between S Western and S Pennsylvania * Native Plains -- on S Pennsylvania between SW 149th and SW 164th * Wildflower -- between SW 164th and SW 149th on Western Norman * Greenleaf Trails -- on 12th Ave NW between W Tecumseh and W Rock Creek * Little River Trails -- on N Porter Ave between W Tecumseh and Franklin Road * Red Canyon Ranch – on Tecumseh between 12th Ave NE and N Porter Ave * Trail Woods – on Rock Creek Road between N.
