Holiday Light Displays Around The Oklahoma City Metro Area

Bundle up and get ready to be infused with some holiday cheer. All around the Oklahoma City metro area there are amazing light displays and events not far from many of our communities that make for sparkling winter enjoyment for the whole family. Downtown In December - If you'd like to enjoy the holiday festivities in downtown Oklahoma City, don't miss Downtown in December a series of 40 holiday events with lights, music and fun for the whole family. Not far from our Valencia, Country Place, Featherstone and Wildflower communities, you can enjoy outdoor ice skating, snow tubing, and an open air winter market surrounded by twinkling lights. Festival of Lights Display Chickasha - If you head just south of many of our communities in the Norman area including Carrington Place, Red Canyon Ranch, and Trail Woods you'll find the annual Festival of Light display in Chickasha. This not-to-be-missed holiday display is one of the top 10 light displays in the nation and features 3.5 million sparkling lights. Visitors will marvel over the 172 ft. lighted Christmas tree and miles of walkways filled with decorations and lights. Light shows can be seen from 6-11 pm nightly until December 31st. The festival is free, and over 250,000 visitors make their way to Chickasha each year to see this awe inspiring light display and it's right in our own back yard. Holiday Lights Spectacular in Midwest City - Just east of city center in Midwest City near our Sundance community you can see the Holiday Lights Spectacular in Midwest City. Each year as the temperatures go down, millions of sparkling lights go up as Joe B. Barnes Regional Park creates a winter wonderland of lights totaling 85 different displays for the whole family's enjoyment. These displays are free nightly until December 30th and begin at 6pm. Kingfisher in Lights - About a half hour north of Buffalo Grove at Village Verde is the Kingfisher in Lights. You can take a miniature train tour to see millions of lights that make up over 70 displays and view the beautifully lit 100 year-old swinging bridge. The displays are all free and also begin at 6pm until December 30th. Yukon's Christmas in The Park - In the Yukon area near our Somer's Pointe, Springs at Settlers Ridge and Fountain Grass communities you can enjoy Christmas In The Park. Wind your way through millions of lights and 3 different parks start with Yukon City Park and follow the blue arrows to Freedom Trail Park and Kathryn Kroutil-Wright Chisholm Trail Park. Over 100 displays cover 100 acres to amaze the whole family. Light shows begin at 6pm and continue through December 31st. Horse drawn carriage rides are available at each of these venues on selected nights and times, check out each site for more information and enjoy the holiday spirit.
