Classen Curve - Upscale, Trendy Shopping
April 12, 2019
Just off Classen Boulevard, Classen Curve is one of Oklahoma City’s newest districts. An upscale outdoor shopping mall, this site has lovely landscaping, covered walkways and water features. Both locally owned and national-chain enterprises do business here. Locally owned retail shops include Balliets, an Oklahoma City institution for luxury items in everything from apparel, shoes, handbags, jewelry, accessories, cosmetics and fragrances to home décor. Another locally-owned business, On A Whim offers a wide selection of home décor, tabletop, fashion, kitchen and personalized gifts. Registries are available. Green Goodies is a cupcakery that satisfies mainstream tastes despite conforming to various dietary restrictions. Owned by Oklahoma natives, all of its cupcakes are made from scratch every morning with such high-quality items as cage-free eggs and organic hormone-free milk. These cupcakes include a wide selection of gluten-free and vegan-friendly options. Green Goodies also offers a full-service espresso bar with a wide assortment of coffee and tea. One of the nationally owned stores is Lululemon Athletica, a high-end yoga-focused chain that features stylish athletic wear and accessories. Another is Kendra Scott, which sells costume and fine jewelry. There’s also Anthropologie, a chain that sells boho-chic womenswear, shoes, accessories and home décor. West Elm offers a large selection of modern furniture, home accessories and kitchen items. Fitness classes offered at Barre3 comprise a full-body balanced workout that combines strength conditioning, cardio and mindfulness. Hands-on cooking classes are given at Sur La Table, along with the varied selection of upscale cooking and dining supplies. The eatery options at Classen Curve include Café 501, where upscale European and New American cuisines can be enjoyed in a high-design architectural environment. There’s also Upper Crust, part of a local pizzeria chain that serves wood-fired pies, wine and cocktails in a Napa Valley–inspired setting. A contemporary American Public House that bridges the gap between beer bar and upscale restaurant, Republic Gastropub places an emphasis on American craft beer and has specifically built an imaginative menu that pairs food with complementing beers. In addition, Tucker’s Onion Burger is a casual, vintage eatery with a modern setting that focuses on quality food made from the freshest ingredients. Events are periodically held at Classen Curve. In fact, The Spring Event will be held April 13, 2019, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. There will be visits with a bunny, an egg hunt, make and take crafts, a petting zoo, face painting, strolling entertainers, inflatables, and more. Visitors are encouraged to bring their cameras.
