February 12, 2016

If you plan on moving in the summer once the kids are out of school, you need to gear up your house hunting now. When building a home from lot selection it can take 4-6 months depending on the weather to build your home. Yes, we often have homes available in all our communities in the Oklahoma City area that are in various phases of production, however if you want the home that is most customized to your needs now is the time to buy. Here are some of the things you can choose when you start your home purchase now. Homesite Selection – This is where you decide your location in the community. When you start looking with enough time to build your home from the ground up, guess what? You get to pick the ground it’s built on! This is a positive attribute if you want a home with a certain exposure. A lot with specific features like on a corner, near the woods, or by the park may be important to you. Flexible Features – Some of the options in a home are structural. With our diverse floor plans, multiple options are available but can only be selected before a home begins production. Interior Options – The earlier you buy a home in the construction phase the more options you have. From getting the exact flooring you want, to the kitchen of your dreams. On a builder’s construction calendar there are certain times options need to be finalized in order to keep the process going smoothly without and stalls or stops. This may mean if you miss the window to pick your flooring, cabinets, and counter tops, you’ll need to go with the design options that have already been preselected. These are just some of the items that makes any new house the home that is perfect for you. The earlier you begin the purchase process the more input you will have in crafting your home.
