 Families in Ideal’s Norman neighborhoods have lots of places to play in Norman. Norman Parks The City of Norman Parks and Recreation Department facilitates 55 neighborhood and community parks, three recreation centers, a golf course and driving range, two disc golf courses, a complete swim complex with waterslides and a wading pool, 32 tennis courts, and three special services centers, offering cultural arts and senior citizen activities. Griffin Community Park Sports Complex includes 16 soccer fields, 14 baseball/softball fields, four football fields, and restroom and concession facilities. The Recreation Division offers free classes on a seasonal schedule. Pavilions and shelters are available on a rental basis in several parks. Norman Community Dog Park

1001 E. Robinson Street The two-acre Norman Community Dog Park is an off-leash dog park, located on the north end of Griffin Park, provides a great community gathering place for dogs to run, play and exercise.

Andrews Park

201 W. Daws Park amenities include picnic facilities, playground, backstops, gazebo, jogging and walking trails, basketball court, amphitheater and shelter/building. The Skate Park is located in the North East corner of Andrews Park

Walking and Jogging Trails Twenty-five Norman parks include walking and jogging trails. Westwood Park Westwood Park offers an 18-hole golf course, state of the art tennis center and an awesome new waterpark. Located on the SE corner of 24th NW and Robinson, Westwood offers something for all age groups! Westwood Family Aquatic Center Located at 2400 Westport Dr., the newly rebuilt aquatic center reopens on Memorial Day 2018. Westwood Park Golf Course Experience excellent pace of play on the well-maintained championship course at the Westwood Golf Course. Westwood is one of Oklahoma's premier public courses. The 6200-yard course was recently renovated and features wide, tree-lined fairways and gently contoured greens, 20 traps and several water hazards. The challenging, yet playable course, is perfect for the weekend golfer or the advanced competitor. Westwood Grill is located inside Westwood Golf Course. Located on the SE corner of NW 24th and Robinson, Westwood Golf Course and Grill are open year round, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Westwood Tennis  Westwood Tennis Center is considered one of the top public facilities in the United States and has been recognized a USTA National Outstanding Facility. Westwood has 12 outdoor championship courts with four 36-foot youth courts and two climate controlled indoor courts.  The tennis center has become the pride of the local tennis community through the facility improvements by the Norman Parks and Recreation Department, the ongoing support of the Norman tennis community and the management of David Minihan, USPTA Master Professional. The Westwood Tennis Clubhouse is a fully equipped pro shop featuring tennis racquets, accessories and lounge area with two flat screen televisions. The tennis shop offers stringing services to its customers and the general public, servicing not only tennis racquets, but also racquetball and badminton racquets. Westwood Tennis offers programs for both Juniors and Adults. Junior Development programs take student players from grass-roots tennis all the way to the collegiate level.  Adult programs include private lessons, clinics, drill groups and leagues. Irving Recreation Center – attached to Irving Middle School 125 Vicksburg Activities include picnic facilities and a basketball court. Little Axe Community Center 1000 168th Ave N.E. Activities include picnic facilities, playground equipment, backstops, basketball court and disc golf. The building is a storm shelter and also houses a Congregate Meal Site. Senior Citizens Center 329 S. Peters The Norman Senior Citizens Center is located in what was once the Norman Public Library. The center offers a daily schedule of activities for all people age 55 and older. In addition to daily activities the center offers special activities and trips throughout the year. The center also ho,uses the Congregate Meal Site for Aging Services. Fees
