Our hearts are with the people of Moore

May 21, 2013

Our hearts are heavy for the devastation and loss experienced by so many in our Community. The City and people of Moore, Oklahoma are very near to our hearts. We have built homes in Moore for over a decade, and many of our employees and loved ones reside in Moore. Fortunately, we can report that all Ideal Homes and Citywide Mortgage employees are accounted for and safe. Our Moore neighborhoods - Featherstone, Wildflower, and Country Place - were extremely close to the path of the massive tornado but were not directly hit. Country Place and Featherstone are free of significant damage and debris. The model homes in these communities will continue to be open for customers who have scheduled appointments or anyone who has questions for Ideal Homes personnel. Many homes in Wildflower suffered significant damage. At this time we are unaware of any significant injuries suffered by our homeowners in these Neighborhoods. The Wildflower model home will remain closed until we further assess the damage. We are proud to build homes for Oklahomans, but today we are especially aware of the number of first responders who live in our Neighborhoods. We appreciate our Police men and women, our Fire men and women, and the countless nurses, healthcare providers, teachers, ministers and others who are Ideal homeowners and who will be directly involved in the cleanup, recovery and healing that will take place over the coming months. Our entire team at Ideal Homes extends our thoughts and prayers with those impacted. We are accepting donations at all of our model homes metro-wide to support those who lost everything in this storm and to assist with recovery.
