It’s festival time!

If it’s springtime in Oklahoma, that means there’s some kind of festival near you! We’re home to the country’s best festivals during spring and early summer, ranging from the arts to food celebrations. We’ve listed a few celebrations that might be near your Ideal Homes & Neighborhoods community; but don’t limit yourself to just your town … there’s much fun to be had all over central Oklahoma. Enjoy!

Oklahoma City Festival of the Arts (April 25-30)

Bicentennial Park and Civic Center Music Hall

Incredible selection of artists showcasing their works, including jewelry, ceramics, mixed media, photography, clay, fiber, watercolor and oils (and possibly more)! Delicious food provided by local restaurant vendors, musical performances and much more. This is a can’t-miss festival and one of the top art shows in the nation.

Norman Music Festival (April 27-29)

Downtown E. Main St, Norman

More than 100 bands perform on multiple stages, with everything from indie pop to classic folk rock. Enjoy rock and roll, country, hip hop, funk, Latin and electronica, along with poetry slams and stand-up comedy. Also enjoy plenty of shopping with booths filled with jewelry, clothing and home décor. Music lovers travel from all over to this incredible festival.

Festival of the Child (May 6)

Yukon City Park, 2200 S Holly Ave, Yukon

Family-friendly festival with more than 50 areas of fun, including kayaking, pony rides, painting, inflatables, crafts and more.

El Reno Burger Day (May 6)

Downtown El Reno, 119 S Rock Island Ave

Ever seen an 850-lb burger on the grill? It’s worth the short drive to El Reno for the fried onion burger, vendors, live music, games, rides, food trucks and a classic car/motorcycle show.

Tulsa International Mayfest (May 12-14)

400 S Main St, Tulsa

Experience an outdoor tribute to the arts and music at the 50th annual Tulsa International Mayfest. Enjoy an array of arts, including dance, music and visual arts, along with great festival food.

Stillwater Wine and Craft Festival (May 13)

Payne County Expo Center, Stillwater

Shop from more than 75 vendors. Arts and crafts, home décor, jewelry, clothing, woodworking and much more. Food trucks, wines, beers.

May Daze Festival (May 19-20)

Downtown Blanchard

Live entertainment, a carnival, food, shopping, games and more!

Bethany 66 Festival (May 27)

39th Expressway, Bethany

Live entertainment; a car, truck and motorcycle show; arts and crafts booths and children’s activities.

Chuck Wagon Festival (May 27-28)

National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, Oklahoma City

A two-day fun-filled family weekend of activities, including chuckwagon food samples, artisan demonstrations, live music, rope making, Western re-enactors and more.

Paseo Arts Festival (May 27-29)

Paseo Arts District, Oklahoma City

Enjoy a variety of media, from painting and photography to wood and jewelry, plus food, children’s activities and live entertainment.
